My life has always been accompanied by music. I grew up listening to the radio and watching music videos on cable TV. I started seeing live music on a regular basis in the late Eighties. I have attended hundreds of live concerts by a diverse range of bands and musicians in venues of all sizes from bars and theaters to arenas and stadiums.
I have been a fan of the Grateful Dead since I attended my first concert in Pittsburgh during the summer of 1990. I have seen the band and their various side project many times including: Grateful Dead (43), Jerry Garcia Band (8), The Other Ones (7), The Dead (6), Furthur (24), Fare Thee Well (2), Dead & Company (5), Bob Weir’s solo projects (25+), and Phil Lesh’s solo projects (200+).
Some of the other bands I have seen live repeated times are: Phish (100+), Sound Tribe Sector 9 (100+), String Cheese Incident (25+), moe. (25+), ekoostik hookah (25+), Midnight North (25+), Depeche Mode (12), James (10), Twiddle (8), and Foo Fighters (6).
I live in Berkeley and have been in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2000. I’ve also lived in New York City, Rochester, NY, and Columbus, OH. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio.
