My life has always been accompanied by music. I grew up listening to the radio and watching music videos on cable TV. I started seeing live music on a regular basis in the late Eighties. I have attended over a thousand live concerts by a diverse range of bands and musicians in venues of all sizes from bars and theaters to arenas and stadiums.
I have been a fan of the Grateful Dead since I attended my first concert in Pittsburgh during the summer of 1990. I have seen the Dead and their various side project many times: Grateful Dead (43), Jerry Garcia Band (8), Phil Lesh & Friends plus Phil’s other solo projects (200+), Bob Weir & RatDog plus Bob’s other solo projects (25+), Furthur (24), The Other Ones (7), The Dead (6), Dead & Company (5), Fare Thee Well GD50 (2), and Mickey Hart & Bill Kreutzmann’s various solo bands.
Some of the other bands and musicians I have seen live repeated times through the years are: Twiddle (9), Midnight North (25+), Jackie Greene (10+), David Nelson Band (10+), Phish (100+), String Cheese Incident (25+), moe. (25+), ekoostik hookah (25+), Sound Tribe Sector 9 (100+), Depeche Mode (12), James (10), King Crimson (7) and Foo Fighters (6).
I live in Berkeley and have been in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2000. I’ve also lived in New York City, Rochester, NY, and Columbus, OH. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio.
